A very nice 1948 Chrysler hood ornament for a Town and Country, possibly for the convertible mode. It has been nicely displayed on a block of wood which has been painted to look like stone. It is 17 1/2 inches long and 3inches wide. the chrome hood ornament is a stylized airplane which is 16 inches long with the piece that slips into the rest of the chrome strip that runs the center of the hood. The piece itself is in good condition with some visible pitting, most of which has not lost the chrome cover, but some rust spots show through. It is mounted on the wood with some screws which when removed may show the mounting holes and ID number. This is a very nice piece and somewhat rare to find. A good addition to any collection.
