Porsche’s Latest Racecourse Takes Inspiration from Daytona, Laguna Seca, and the Nürburgring

Porsche’s New Track Mimics Daytona, Laguna Seca, and the Nürburgring

Porsche is set to open its new Experience Center in Los Angeles with a track that mimics the racing conditions of some of the world’s most challenging circuits – Daytona, Laguna Seca, and the Nürburgring. The new 53-acre complex includes a track that incorporates elements of each circuit, allowing drivers to test themselves and their vehicles in a variety of scenarios.

The Experience Center features a range of driving experiences, including a handling course, an off-road course, and a dedicated Porsche Motorsport course designed specifically for track days and events. The track features 8 different configurations, which can be used to simulate different types of driving, from high-speed ovals to technical cornering and hill climbs.

The track’s Daytona configuration includes 6 turns and a straightaway, while the Laguna Seca configuration includes the famous Corkscrew turn, as well as a chicane and a straightaway. The Nürburgring configuration is the most challenging, with 12 turns, including the famous Carousel corner, and a 1,000-foot straightaway.

The track’s design also incorporates a variety of elevation changes and surfaces, including banked turns and different asphalt compounds. This allows drivers to test their skills on a variety of surfaces, from dry asphalt to wet concrete, and to learn how their vehicle responds to changes in grip and braking.

In addition to the driving experiences, the Porsche Experience Center also features a restaurant, a gift shop, and a Porsche Classic workshop, which allows owners to have their vintage Porsches restored to their original condition.

The Porsche Experience Center in Los Angeles is the company’s second in the United States, following the opening of a similar facility in Atlanta in 2015. The center is open to Porsche owners and enthusiasts, as well as corporate clients and groups looking for a unique team building experience.

Overall, the new track at the Porsche Experience Center is a unique opportunity for drivers to test themselves and their vehicles in a safe, controlled environment that simulates some of the world’s most challenging circuits. With its variety of configurations and surfaces, it offers something for drivers of all skill levels, and is sure to be a favorite destination for Porsche enthusiasts for years to come.
