The Mercedes-Benz E-class sedan is a luxurious and spacious executive transport with impressive technology and design features. With nearly as much class and substance as the flagship S-class, the E-class offers a slightly less imposing profile. The latest 2024 model marks the start of an all-new generation, redesigned with even more technology and luxury than its predecessor.
The 2024 E-class lineup includes two powertrain options, a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 255 horsepower for the E350 model and a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with 375 horsepower for the E450 model. Both models are equipped with standard all-wheel drive and hybrid assistance for improved performance and fuel efficiency. An adjustable air suspension and rear-wheel steering system are also available options for increased maneuverability.
Inside, the E-class cabin is focused on comfort and quality, with rich-looking materials, leather upholstery, and metal trim. The standard infotainment system includes a digital display behind the steering wheel for gauges and a separate screen for infotainment. There’s also a range of integrated tech features available, including a dashboard with three separate displays, downloadable third-party apps, and an augmented reality feature for in-dash navigation.
While the E-class comes with standard driver-assistance features such as automated emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring, most other equipment costs extra, including adaptive cruise control with lane-centering. The E-class has yet to receive fuel economy estimates from the EPA for 2024, but small improvements are expected over the 2023 model’s numbers.
Mercedes-Benz covers the E-class with competitive limited and powertrain warranties, but doesn’t provide any complimentary maintenance. Overall, the E-class sedan offers excellent performance, comfort, and technology features for luxury sedan buyers. The new 2024 model is expected to hit dealer showrooms by the end of 2023.
