MSD 8261 HVC Pro Power-2 Ignition Coil For Use w/ 7 Series Ignition

MSD 8261 HVC-II Ignition Coil Ignition Coil The Pro Power HVC II Coil is completely built in-house so our engineers have exclusive control over their performance and quality. The coil utilizes an iron u-core design with a segmented bobbin for improved voltage distribution. The bobbin is molded from DuPont rynite FR946 material which has incredible dielectric capabilities at high temperatures. MSD also incorporated a cutting edge winding material that has an improved insulation and is also capable of enduring extreme voltages. Together, these materials create a durable coil with incredible voltage capabilities, lightning quick rise time and lengthy spark duration. The housing, also molded from rynite material, features far spaced brass primary terminals and a well protected secondary tower for increased spark isolation. The housing is completely potted with an epoxy compound for vibration resistance and installs with sturdy vibration mounts. For use with MSD 7 and 8 series ignitions. Product Note: HVC Pro Power-2 Ignition Coil For Use w/MSD 7 Series Ignition If you are looking to upgrade your stock coil, or want to compliment the performance of your MSD Blaster Ignition, MSD 5, 6 or 7, the Blaster Coil line is the right choice. All of the Blaster Coils are designed for improved spark output! Special 100:1 windings are used to provide maximum build-up of voltage! These windings are held secure and kept cool in an oil filled metal canister. The tower assembly is molded of durable alkyd material due to its high dielectric characteristics while wide spaced brass primary terminals prevent the possibility of spark. There are several versions of the Blaster Coil available. All of them have the same internal specifications, but have different housings or components. Each Blaster Coil can be used with a stock ignition, Blaster Ignition, MSD 5, 6 or 7 Ignition Control. Most late model vehicles with electronic ignitions do not require a ballast resistor, check your ignition and manufacturers specifications to determine if a ballast is required in your application. Application Notes: HVC-II Ignition Coil; Racing Coil For Use w/MSD 7 or 8 Series Ignition; 0.250 mH Inductance; 45000 Max Volts; 2 Amps Peak Current;150 uS Spark Duration; 70:1 Turns Ratio; Red;
