My new favorite car! Honda Civic 2019 is not as spectacular inside as it is outside. Nevertheless it looks modern due to its certain asymmetry. It is a well-designed interior with most easily accessible controls.
The overall quality of the plastic is pretty good and things like the soft-touch dashboard and door linings look great. But below the hard plastic around the gear lever isn’t very good.
What didn’t impress me was the quality of the Honda Civic display. And even when working a little late with the reaction to pressing buttons.
The digital dashboard, however, is one of the highlights of the Civic interior. Sports fonts and colors are easy to read and with the buttons on the steering wheel, I can control music, Bluetooth, phone book, and the on-board computer.
Getting in and out of the 2019 Civic is not easy, as the seats are located low above the ground, and you need to squat to sit on them. But once I’m inside, the driver’s seat is a comfortable place, thanks to the electric adjustment, which makes it easy to find the perfect position. The front passenger, however, will not be as happy, as there is not enough support under the hips. Visibility from the driver’s seat is good, except for the rear view due to the heavily smoothed coupe-shaped glass. Therefore, you can easily judge the size of the car, even in heavy traffic.
The back seat is comfortable. For passengers on the back sofa there is enough space for their knees, and the seats themselves are comfortable, with decent hip support and a comfortable back angle. Sitting in the back, you will never experience claustrophobia. On the other hand, the sloping roof reduces the rear. And anyone above 180 cm will find that the ceiling is too low above their head.
Like most Honda models, the Civic interior is very practical, with lots of bottle and glass holders on the front and back seats. Special mention should be made of the roomy drawer under the front armrest, which is high and wide enough to store large items.
Ride quality is one of the greatest strengths of the Civic 2019. At city speeds, the Civic is simply excellent thanks to its all-absorbing low-speed suspension. Well-designed shock absorbers help the sedan feel both soft and well-controlled. Even on poor quality roads, the suspension has a surprisingly good level of absorption of bumps without bumps, so you will not feel most of the holes and bumps. Yes, there is some stiffness at low speeds, but this never leads to a feeling of discomfort. Even at higher speeds, the Civic shows good composure, and this makes it a pleasant companion on the highway.

The car also copes well with wind noise, but at higher speeds, a bit of the hum from the tires gets into the interior. On my opinion, the car is more traditional and has its own strengths and weaknesses.
