Went with the base model s in November. At the time it was the only way to get a manual transmission. I also opted in for the driver assistance package. Probably the most fun to drive car in its category. It get 37 mpg overall with regular unleaded.
I would be skeptical to wait the 10000 miles between oil changes, and after every first 5000 miles following an oil change, I’d check my oil level every 1000 miles. Do yourself a favor and buy the prepaid maintenance for the 50000 and 60000 mileage intervals it’ll save big bucks.
Awesome car, only downside is the fake exhaust pipes you see on the rear bumper lol. The actual is a single behind the bumper. Vw engineering kinda lame for that. Other than that its quick off the line and the gas mileage will have you wondering if its a hybrid. Good buy just needs some cosmetic changes. I got the sel premium package and have been satisfied otherwise.
Great value. It has a nice stability to it and it’s not overly drenched in tech. The engine is a small wonder and should won an award!
