Swedish automaker Volvo has introduced the most expensive and stuffed version of its Junior representative of the SUV class — the Volvo XC40 Inscription. The car inherited the luxury finish and technology from the older XC60.
The exterior of the car is thought out to the smallest detail. The interior of the new XC40 Inscription shows off expensive leather with stitching, glossy black elements under the piano lacquer, inserts made of natural gray wood and a metal frame of the multimedia navigation system display.
The exterior of the new car attracts with a combination of typical SUV features with a more compact body. Additional power to the crossover is given by a high ground clearance and large wheels. In general, the design looks quite bold and futuristic. The driver’s high position gives a sense of security and provides a better view, while the panoramic roof provides additional lighting and visually expands the space.
In the interior of the Volvo XC40 crossover each item has its own place. The exterior is highlighted by a rich purple color of the body and a named set of 18-inch wheels. Pockets, stands and hooks placed in different parts of the car will allow you to maintain order, without denying yourself comfort. There are also smart solutions for luggage – the trunk can be opened with a light movement of the foot, and the backs of the rear seats can be folded just by pressing a button.
The list of unique options and an extended list of basic equipment is completely atypical in the market of premium compact class SUVs.
The 2019 Volvo XC40 is even more convenient. The Central touch screen, combined with a large dashboard and voice control, makes it even easier to interact with the car. Special attention was paid to acoustics – an air-permeable buffer is provided, providing a clear and powerful sound. To control the car at a distance and change the driver, the Volvo On Call app is available.
If there is an increased risk of a collision, City Safety will activate automatic braking, while another function will prevent the car from leaving the roadway if the trajectory change is unintentional. Pilot Assist will take care of maintaining a safe speed and distance to other cars in the stream.
The car inspires confidence in the driver on the road. The high seat position provides excellent visibility, and the flexible and responsive steering ensures safety and absolute comfort at the wheel.
Under the hood of the XC40 Inscription hides a 2.0 l turbo at 187 horsepower, sending torque to all four wheels using an 8-speed automatic transmission. The price of the XC40 Inscription is $39,000, but due to numerous options, it can grow significantly.
