A first class hot rod, a 1948 Chrysler Town & Country convertible, built for the late Gary Meadors of GoodGuys Rod & Custom Cars Association. Meadors, who founded the GoodGuys Rod & Custom Association 32 years ago, an organization that has grown to 20 events nationwide and over 70,000 members, passed away at age 76 on Dec. 27 at his home in Cave Creek, Arizona. No cause of death was released, but Meadors had struggled with heart problems over the years. The car, built by Scott Bonowski of Hot Rods and Hobbies, features a Chrysler Viper V10 engine, custom chassis and interior. His son Marc drove it to the Puyallup show this year.
