The Chrysler Corporation, founded in 1925, expanded in 1928, establishing Plymouth and DeSoto brands, they also acquired Fargo Trucks and Dodge Brothers Motors and started selling vehicles under those names. The DeSoto was Chryslers mid priced car, the Desoto name was used from 1929-1960.
