The Tesla Y Performance 2020 is an electric five-door five-seat crossover produced by the Tesla Automobile Corporation. The cars are produced at Gigafactory 1 in Nevada (USA).
When you first look at the car, it is quite difficult to clearly classify the Tesla Y Performance 2020 to any segment – whether it is really a crossover, as the manufacturer claims, or just a hatchback with increased ground clearance. Let’s start with the fact that the Performance 2020 looks very impressive and modern, without excessive pretentiousness and pathos.
The design of the stern of the crossover
The appearance of the Tesla Y is remarkable, the car is sporty and original. It surprises with its unusual proportions and outlines, which are characterized by a short hood line and a “humped” roof. You won’t find a traditional radiator grille here. But there are stylishly squinted led lights.
Among other features of the exterior of the car, we note four classic doors with frameless windows, a lifting trunk lid, plastic protective pads along the lower perimeter. The silhouette of the new Tesla Y shows speed, and the body – excellent streamlining is not worse than that of the Model 3 (the coefficient of aerodynamic drag is 0.23).
The cabin is cozy and quite spacious. The interior decoration is made in the minimalism. The interior of the electric car meets the usual configuration of the front panel for cars of the Tesla line, which provides a minimum of physical buttons and the presence of hidden ventilation deflectors. In the center of the console there is a large 15-inch touch-screen tablet, which responds to the configuration of most on-Board systems. Navigation data, multimedia content, camera images, and instrument readings are also displayed here. Using a special mobile application, you can interact with the SUV remotely, get location data, as well as lock/unlock doors and turn on the climate system.
Above the heads of the driver and passengers there is a panoramic glass roof – it stretches from the rear bevel to the windshield, which visually increases the space inside the car.
Upholstered chairs are equipped with lateral supports, comfortable headrests and armrests. The seats are set slightly higher than usual, which significantly improved visibility. In general, the crossover can accommodate as many as seven people, however, the third row is intended more for children. But with the transformation of the rear seats, five passengers will feel as comfortable as possible, and this will significantly increase the volume of the luggage compartment.
The list of equipment offered for the new Tesla Y 2020 includes a compact steering wheel, climate control and a glass roof. You will have to pay for an autopilot that has three cameras, a radar, and several sensors additionally.
